Wedding Signage Planning Checklist

A simple timeline for curating your wedding signage, from the first idea to the morning of your wedding. Every sign we make is designed, printed and finished in our studio, so you can plan at your own pace and send final details closer to the day.

Six to twelve months before: choose your style

  • Choose one collection for a cohesive set. Every sign in a collection shares the same fonts and design language, from the welcome sign to the table numbers.
    • Haven, The Modern Romantic: clean and timeless, lovely for garden and vineyard weddings.
    • Capri, Relaxed Coastal Vibe: breezy and effortlessly elegant, made for coastal celebrations.
    • Claire, Classic Black Tie: timeless and sophisticated, for formal evenings.
    • Quinn, Effortless. Edgy. Refined.: editorial and modern.
  • List the moments you'd like signage for. Use the checklist below as a starting point.
  • Reserve your signage whenever you're ready. You don't need your final guest count, seating assignments or bar menu at checkout. Prefer a curated set? Our bundles bring the essentials together at a better price.

Two to three months before: gather your details

  • Wording and colors. Wording, background color and lettering color can be personalized on every sign. Our color guide shows every option.
  • Seating chart size. Standard acrylic (24" x 30") seats up to 170 guests, large acrylic (24" x 36") up to 225, and large acrylic (24" x 47"), linen and double seating charts up to 325.
  • Proofs. Seating charts, double signs and every bundle include a complimentary proof. For any other sign, add Proofs Before Production to see your design before it's made.
  • Stands and easels. Table numbers and small table signs include a clear acrylic stand. For larger signs, see our recommended stands and easels.

Four weeks before: send your final details

  • Send your guest list, drink menu and any remaining details as a Word or Google Doc to hello@madeandtrue.com, formatted exactly as you'd like it to appear.
  • Your signs ship within 4 weeks of receiving your final details. Shipping typically takes 2 to 4 business days.
  • Closer to your date? Add Rush My Order and select the date you need your signs, and we'll let you know right away if we can't meet it.

When your signs arrive

  • Open your package to make sure everything arrived safely.
  • Keep each sign in its protective clear wrap until your event, and store signs flat in a cool, dry place.

On your wedding day

  • Acrylic: handle by the edges, then wipe with an ammonia-free glass cleaner (we recommend Sparkle) on a microfiber cloth.
  • Linen: use a hand steamer the morning of your event to remove wrinkles.
  • Stone: handle with care in transport, and remove the clear film from the stands before displaying.
